Please join MXGM and EastSide's FILM FRIDAYS for a Black August film screening and discussion of Attica, the true story of the events leading up to and during the Attica uprising and the aftermath. During the summer of 1971, tensions between inmates and guards at the Attica Correctional Facility were at an all-time high. On the morning of Sept. 9, it all came to a head as Attica became the stage for one of the largest U.S. prison riots ever.
